Tucked just 30 kilometers from the end of New Zealand’s South Island, Stewart Island should be on everyone's bucket list. It's New Zealand's third-largest island and home to a small population of just 400 people it offers a rare glimpse of a truly untouched NZ.

You will find yourself in a different world, soaring above some of Stewart Island’s untouched, rugged coastline. On approach, we will pass Horseshoe Bay and Half moon bay before descending on Ryan’s Creek airstrip on the hill overlooking the township of Oban. Spend the day exploring Stewart Island before departing back for Queenstown in the late afternoon. 

This is an unguided day on Stewart Island where you can choose how to spend your day. From an adventure-packed itinerary to spending a leisurely day birdwatching or walking. 

This trip offers a 1-hour flight each way departing Queenstown at 9am and returning at 5pm. You will have approximately 6 hours to explore. 

• The Operator the right to cancel flights due to weather and safety considerations. If The Operator cannot reschedule, passengers will receive a 100% refund. 
• If passengers choose to cancel a flight, fail to check-in on time, or notify us of changes less than 24 hours prior to their departure, they will incur a 100% cancellation charge.
• Changes or cancellations made with more than 24 hours warning incur no penalties.

• Child prices apply to children aged 3-14 years; infants 0-2 travel free of charge

• The Pilot in command is responsible for the safety of the aircraft and everyone on board at all times. Service can be refused if the Pilots' instructions are not complied with.

• Given alpine flying conditions, The Operator reserves the right to alter the flight paths, durations, or cancel flights due to weather and safety considerations. If we cannot fly due to adverse weather conditions, we will attempt to reschedule depending on the passenger's schedule and flight availability. If we cannot reschedule, passengers will be refunded. 

• The Operator is required to make sure that the aircraft is operated within its maximum weight limitations and the aircraft’s center of gravity is within limits. We, therefore, request passenger weights at the time of booking, to assist us operationally in planning and managing seat availability and to provide a great customer experience. 

• Please ensure you inform us of your weight, especially if any passengers are 120kg or 260lb or over, prior to the date of travel. Passenger seat allocation is at the Pilots' discretion due to the weight and balance of the plane.
