The pilot did a fantastic job and made the most of the conditions, which were not the best on the day. We still saw some stunning views though.

No, but there are food options available for purchase once you land in Mt. Cook. You are also welcome to bring any snacks of your own. 

We suggest you bring the following with you on your tour:

  • Any essential medication
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Camera - make sure it's fully charged
  • Warm clothing layers
  • Sensible foot wear is essential
  • Bottle of water

Flights between Queenstown and Mt. Cook are approximately 1 hour 15minutes as you take in the scenery on the west coast (Fox and Fran Josef glaciers). The return flight is just under 1 hour.

 

 

No. As you are travelling in a fixed-wing aircraft, you are unable to land on glaciers. Your landing for this trip will be on a runway/airstrip on the outskirts of Mt. Cook Village.
