The views were stunning, too—you don’t often see adventure paired with scenery like that. Sorting out the tickets was super easy, and I’m so glad I gave it a go.

Your KJet boat ride soars across three waterways in one of New Zealand's most stunning locations. Shoot across the crystal clear waters of Lake Wakatipu with spectacular mountain ranges as your backdrop and mesmerising scenery that will really take your breath away.
Zoom under the Kawarau Dam and onto the beautiful green waters of the Kawarau River – complete with 360-degree spins!
Your driver will then navigate you towards the fast-moving currents of the narrow Shotover River, and it is here that the adventure really heightens! Race up the shallow channels at speeds of 95 kilometres per hour in water as shallow as 5cm! Our extremely knowledgeable and experienced drivers will stop for breathers and provide you with an informative commentary about Queenstown and the surrounding areas.

The KJet tour was absolutely thrilling and a must-do for any adrenaline junkies visiting Queenstown. The 45 km ride was filled with heart-pumping stunts and the scenery was breathtaking. The only downside was that I wish the ride could have been even longer because it was so much fun.

Frequently Asked Questions
During summer, you'll need sunscreen & sunglasses. In winter, it does get chilly, so dress warmly and bring a jacket, hat and gloves. Life jackets are provided onboard. You are allowed to bring cameras on board but at your own risk.
KJet provide complimentary storage for your belongings, however there is limited storage available so please keep in mind that they can only store handbags and small backpacks.
The best part of Jet boating is the spray and drama! KJet provide full-length spray jackets (with hoods) to wear under your life jacket so you will be kept mostly dry.
