Experience the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Franz Josef and Fox glaciers from an aerial perspective, with a landing on the pristine snow-covered ice. Exploring New Zealand's glaciers has never been easier! This flight covers it all, with snow landings, glacier icefalls, crevasses and neves.

During the flight, you'll also be treated to breathtaking views of Mount Cook / Aoraki, which stands as the highest peak in New Zealand, as well as a stunning sight of the Tasman Glacier on the eastern flank of the Southern Alps.

Flying from either Franz Josef or Fox glaciers, you'll enjoy views from ocean to alps and take in some of the most incredible New Zealand sights. Then, fly across the Southern Alps’ rugged spine and circle the peak of magnificent Aoraki/Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain.

You'll stop for a snow landing before heading back to base.

Meeting Point

Departs and returns from The Helicopter Line Base OR Glacier Helicopters Base situated on the Main Road (State Highway 6), Franz Josef Glacier, 7856. These meeting points are approx. 30m apart. Glacier Helicopters will reach out to you the day before with the exact meeting point.
