First up, the Fiordland Jet team will lead you on a pure wilderness jet boat experience. Experience the thrill of jet boating down the majestic Waiau. This picturesque river is lined by ancient beech tree forests and features in the opening scene of The Lord of the Rings. This is true Middle Earth! Experience the excitement and adventure of the surging river, then enjoy the tranquil surroundings as you cruise onto Lake Manapouri.

After this action-packed adventure lace up your walking shoes for some hiking! This 2.5 hour, 6 km guided nature walk follows a portion of the Kepler Track, a New Zealand Great Walk from Lake Manapouri to Rainbow Reach. Your friendly guide will share incredible insights and lead you along this wide, well-maintained, mostly flat trail. Hike across sandy, tree-lined beaches, peek inside an authentic 'kiwi' tramping hut, and discover expansive wetlands, native forest and even a swing bridge, this is a great opportunity for everyone to discover a piece of real New Zealand!

After a leisurely 6km walk (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours), you’ll emerge from the lush forest at Rainbow Reach. Here, you'll cross the Waiau River via an exciting swing bridge before returning to Te Anau by road, filled with memories of your incredible Fiordland adventure.
