Visit four of Central Otago’s finest and off-the-beaten-track cellar doors, including a visit to New Zealand’s famous Gibbston Valley underground wine cave. Look, smell and taste over 18 spectacular cool-climate wines whilst your charismatic guide and knowledgeable cellar staff educate and amuse you with local winemaking facts and stories.

Central Otago is the world’s most southern wine region. The oldest commercial vineyard in the area only planted its first grapes in 1983, yet it's is widely regarded as one of the world’s top three Pinot Noir regions, along with Oregon in the USA and Burgundy in France. Even though Pinot Noir is undoubtedly Central Otago’s main attraction, there are several other cold-climate varieties also gaining global attention, including Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, and more recently some unique Sauvignon Blancs.

This small-group tour includes return transfers from selected Queenstown accommodation, with travel in a luxury Mercedes van. Learn how to taste wine through on-board videos and make use of our complimentary WiFi.

Take an optional stop for lunch at a premium winery (extra cost), and refill your belly with an extra glass of vino to two. Then visit the Gibbston Valley Cheese Company, where they have a range of hand-crafted cheeses made in the traditional European style. All of the cheeses are sourced from small South Island farms using vegetarian rennet.
